GAZETTE FORGETS

The Shields Gazette admitted today that they didn't even realise there were local elections taking place and therefore had not given it any coverage. The Editor said “When the dates were announced for the election all our reporters and photographers were out covering a story a story about a cat stuck up a tree and unfortunately we didn’t know they were taking place. We have had the tree chopped down to ensure that this sort of thing can never happen again. By the way, the cat survived.”

IF ANYBODY ACTUALLY READS THIS BLOG (AND NOT JUST THE PEOPLE WHO ARE LOOKING FOR PICTURES OF LIONS!) I HOPE YOU ARE NOT OFFENDED BY THE NATURE OF THESE SARCASTIC POSTS. WHILST CERTAIN PEOPLE HAVE BEEN NAMED, I HAVE RESPECT FOR ANYBODY WHO IS PREPARED TO PUT THEIR HEADS ABOVE THE PARAPET AND STAND UP FOR THEIR VIEWS AND SERVE THE COMMUNITY (BUT NOT THE BNP, I DON’T MIND YOU STANDING IN A FREE SOCIETY BUT I DON’T WANT YOU TO GET ANY VOTES!)

DON’T FORGET TO VOTE ON THURSDAY!

Hahaha Peter - love the BNP one! Your excellent posts remind me of the hilarious Rockall Times (http://www.therockalltimes.co.uk/).

Re: Gazette ignoring the elections

There's a legal ban on any election-based material being printed in any newspaper in the fortnight before local elections, you big nugget.

Dear Anonymous

The post was a satirical comment on the lack of coverage in general. If you had checked the posts prior to this one you would have picked up on this. So yes, we all know that election material is limited on the run up to a vote, and that includes the incompetents who represent my ward.

Why be anonymous however? Something to hide? BNP or a migrant to Scotland?

Glad you read the blog though. If any of the words are to big for you, let me know and I’ll draw you some pictures to explain them.
